what are wireframes?

A website wireframe, also known as a page schematic or screen blueprint, is a visual guide that represents the skeletal framework of a website. Witch allows you to visualize where things go on a website.

why are wireframes used?

wire frames are used to help people to plan and draw out where things such as pictures and vidoes can go once a website is created.

they allow you to see where things such as videos are going to go on the page it gives you a rough idea of the layout on the page. They also allow you to make numerous of layouts to chose witch one is best.

One of the great advantages of wireframing is that it provides an early visual that can be used to review with the client. Users can also review it as an early feedback mechanism for prototype usability tests. Not only are wireframes easier to amend than concept designs, once approved by the client and the users they provide confidence to the designer.

 

disadvantages of wireframes?As the wireframes do not include any design, or account for technical implications, it is not always easy for the client to grasp the concept. The designer will also have to translate the wireframes into a design, so communication to support the wireframe is often needed to explain why page elements are positioned as they are. Also, when content is added, it might initially be too much to fit within the wireframe layout, so the designer and copywriter will need to work closely to make this fit.

Why are blogs using Photoshop better?

 mood boards using photo shops are better as you can make them look more professional by using a lot of different effects for example on my mood board I have used different tools such as the magic wand tool to get rid of white backgrounds and you can put different effects on the pictures to make them look a lot more advanced.

Some disadvantages of using Photoshop to create a mood board is some things are hard to find and sometimes can be a little confusing for example I thought how to put an effect on my work was quite hard to find as I had to click on a number of different things to find the effects button.

From my mood board you can clearly see that I  am a girl around the age 12-22 and I am a high streamer for example I like music witch is clearly represented by the music notes form my mood board you can also see that my favourite  film is Annie and my hobbies such as drama and singing witch  is represented by the microphone.

Mindmaping

A  interior design company is considering developing a new range of bedroom furniture for children's bedroom with an underwater theme.

I have chosen this brief as so many ideas come to mind for example the list above each one of them  are going to be different sections of my mind map that are going to branch  of for example children's furniture  can include beds, wardrobes, bed side tables, draws do that section of my mind map can branch of into all that.

a diagram in which information is represented visually, usually with a central idea placed in the middle and associated ideas arranged around it.

why do people use mindmaps?
People use mind maps for a lot of different reasons for example:
they may be revising an like going over there notes by creating a mind map.
its a way to get ideas down and make it look visual
